Initially the look and feel of the workmanship appeared very nice-this is a low dollar recliner-purchased for our motor home, so I wasn't about to compare it to our $1500 home recliner. Assembly was very easy and in about 15 minutes the recliner was assembled and in our coach. Upon reclining the unit the first time, I was struck with the amount of force required at the handle to initiate the recline. I thought perhaps I had left some bit of packaging material in the way, but upon inspection everything looked clear. My wife, 5'6" 120 used the unit exclusively over a 2 week period while babysitting our grand daughter, and after about 20 cycles, succeeded in breaking the mechanism. I believe the hardware for this item is very very light duty, and perhaps should be sold as a child's chair-if a 120# adult could so easily and quickly break it after...
